Airline interviewing/hiring suggestions

A note to help airlines…
Fully investigate all airline dispatcher candidates. Although most applicants are honest, some tend to fudge facts. In a few cases, Sheffield diplomas have been fraudulently duplicated.
Examples: There may be a difference between “attended Sheffield School for training” and actually passing the course. The final status of our students will range from:
1. Passed course AND FAA practical exam (the majority.)
2. Failed course or did not complete course for any variety of reasons (the minority.)
3. Passed course but failed FAA practical exam at Sheffield School (rare.)
We strongly recommend investigating the authenticity of any statements made in cover letters, résumés, and online profiles such as Facebook and LinkedIn to verify whether the applicant truly falls under #1, or not. There have also been some non-Sheffield “graduates” who will not list “all dispatch schools attended”, or who will omit certain facts which can be considered dishonest. There is nothing wrong with stating facts; however, nowadays, we recommend that any airline contact Sheffield School for a detailed briefing or recommendation of any applicant associating themselves with our program. In most cases, we will likely be able to confirm everything as listed, which simply results in our recommendation of our FAA-certified graduate(s) for employment. As most airlines are aware of, nothing is handed out at Sheffield. Our people work hard and EARN their certification. Just letting you know that a few others do not…Confirm, verify, and communicate. It will be your aggravating waste of time and money, if you don’t. Just trying to help.
